Can The Elephant Dance once again?

Well, after the downfall of the Indian rupee, it has become rather fashionable these days, to discuss & judge the capability of the Indian economy & ability of Indian people. We should not forget the achievements of Indians. Some of the very daunting I have mentioned below:
  • The current Android division & Chrome Division of the Google is being handled by an Indian. Mr. Sunder Pichai.
  • It was an Indian professor Mr. Amit Singhal who rewrite the code (Ranking Algorithm) of Google after Larry page & Sergey Brin messed up with it.
  • To my surprise it was actually an Indian professor from IIT Kanpur who came up with the idea of Google, wrote the thesis which was then eventually read by Larry page and Sergey Brin after his death.
  • Speaking of the knowledge, In 1930 Albert Einstein called Rabindranath Tagore to Germany to discuss the idea of Science and Religion.
If we don't forget our past, more than 25% of the Indian professors are working abroad. Around 5 dozen Indian IT companies are in silicon valley. 1/3rd of the world’s software is being produced by the Indian firm. Because of Indian IT Industry IT-Knowledge from a noun has become an “adjective”. The verb Bangalored for that matter. The key operating components of Apple’s iPod were invented by the Hyderabad Company PortalPlayer.  More than 60% of the ICICI customers are out of India.  Genpact is the first company of the world who initiated the process of call centre.
·
Well one can never forget the Indian Entertainment Industry. As per The Reuters, The second biggest consulting industry in the world is “Bollywood”. By 2009, Hollywood earns $1 Trillion in a year but Bollywood earns $244 Trillion in a year. There is a group of people in a village in Senegal of United states, who takes a bus once a month to the capital city of Dakar, just to watch a Bollywood movie. They can’t understand the dialogue. They are illiterate; they even can’t read the French subtitles. But, these movies are made to be understood despite such handicaps, and they have a great time enjoying the song and the dance of the movies.

And this is happening more and more. Afghanistan: we know what a serious security problem they have. India doesn’t have a military mission there. But still one can see the effect of Indian culture over there. You couldn’t try to call an Afghan at 8:30 in the evening. Because that was the moment when the Indian television soap opera, Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi from 2003 to 2007, dubbed into Dari, was telecast on Tolo T.V. And it was the most popular television show in Afghan history. Every Afghan family wanted to watch it. They had to suspend functions at 8:30. Weddings were reported to be interrupted so guests could cluster around the T.V. set at 8.30, and then turn their attention back to the bride and groom. Crime went up at 8:30. This was actually mentioned in the Reuters that at that time how robbers in the town of Mazhar-i-Sharif stripped a vehicle of its windshield wipers, its hubcaps, its sideview mirrors, any moving part they could find, at 8:30, because the watchmen were busy watching the T.V. rather than minding the store. And they scrawled on the windshield in a reference to the show’s heroine, 'Tulsi Zindabad' & 'Long Live Tulsi'.

With so much influence on the world, Elephant yes can dance once again.
